Baby Rabbit
Baby rabbits being chased by a cat
My dad treats it like a rat
Drat! Why can't it go to a rehab hospital?
Is it possible?
Will the rabbit survive?
What will the hospital provide?
Will the rabbit be released?
Or will the rabbit die in peace?
Will the rabbit be treated fairly?
Or will the rabbit be treated wearly?
I feel sorry for that baby rabbit
I hope dad doesn't make a habit
Of ignoring animals
I mean, we are mammels!
Someday he will need help
If he goes blind, without a dog he will melt
If he goes to a nursing home
A mule will bring memories of his own home
If he moves to a farm
The animals will do no harm
If he just stays here
He won't fear
Of the animals he will ignore
Without us, the animals won't learn
How to 'sit', 'stay', 'talk,' or 'sing',
