Armoured to Extinction!
A Rhinoceros is armoured with great, virtually immovable plates of extraordinarily thick skin separated by joints of thinner skin!
Because of assumed magical and aphrodisiac properties attributed to its horn - made of keratin (a fibrous protein found in hair) - some species of rhinoceros have been hunted almost to extinction. In the East, Rhino horn is worth half its weight in gold!

Wild And Vegetarian Rhinos!
The Rhinoceros can grow to 14 feet long and 6.5 feet high, and weigh five tons. Despite the enormous bulk, it can charge upto 30mpheven through thick scrub!
Most Rhinos have a pointed upper lip, used as a finger to pluck leaves and twigs. The so-called 'White Rhino' which isn't white at all, is square-muzzled and a grass eater!
